This trail begins at the Basin, a very popular attraction in the Franconia Notch Parkway. The trail leads away from the basin and along the bank of a cascade, and past 2 waterfalls. The conditions were very wet, and there was an abundance of mud. There are several unmarked trails that run parallel to this one, and it is easy to lose the main path. You have the option to follow the marked path or climb the rock up the cascade. The marked trail does cross a moderate stretch of running water. Due to the weather conditions, we were unable to complete this trail.
